2019 d.health Summit: Aging Innovation Conference

The University of Rochester, in collaboration with West Health, is hosting the 5th annual d.health Summit, a national forum for health and technology leaders, entrepreneurs, senior care advocates and policymakers to exchange ideas, create new relationships, and foster disruptive technological and process innovations to improve the lives of the nation’s aging population.
This year’s program will underscore novel ideas, partnerships, and perspectives that are driving change in healthcare, especially as they relate to social determinants of health. The d.health Summit audience is comprised of leading healthcare executives, physicians, entrepreneurs, policymakers and technology pioneers. Moderated by Chief Strategy Officer Tim Lash, West Health is hosting a 60-minute panel session, “Paying for Health: A Case Study in How North Carolina is Investing in Social Determinants of Health (to Lower Costs and Improve Outcomes).” The lively panel discussion will use North Carolina as an innovative case study with the goal as paying for health—not healthcare, and how the state is approaching social determinants of health such as access to food, housing and transportation and their impact as the main drivers of health outcomes.
